STYLO FASHION WEEK 2011: STYLO RETURNS TO BOOST KL

STYLO Fashion GP will return for the 4th consecutive year to boost the upcoming 13th Petronas Malaysia F1 GP with an 8-day festival covering 4 major locations within the capital city. It will once again be presented by Mercedes-Benz but will welcome several new partners such as Sepang International Circuit; the Tourism Ministry and the Ford Models Supermodel of the World.

The 2011 theme ‘Fashion Theatre’ will see STYLO fusing fashion with famous musicals against the F1 backdrop to drive social excitement in the run-up to the Sepang race.

It includes the premier of Enfiniti Productions’ “West End Boys”; the International Shoe Festival’s opening gala, the “Glass Slipper Ball”; and the much-awaited finale of the Ford Models Supermodel of the World 2011 Search which will serve as the opening act for Korean superstar, RAIN at the F1 concert.

Over 100 Malaysian fashion and accessories designers will be presenting their creations throughout the festival.

Also making their Malaysian debut is international fashion brand F&F, a major sponsor of this year’s London Fashion Week as well as London Fashion Week’s hot emerging designer, Ara Jo. South Korean Jo is designer to Leona Lewis, Solange Knowles and eccentric megastar Lady Gaga.

An MoU signing and press conference will be organised between STYLO and its 2011 partners and sponsors. It will be hosted by the Ministry of Tourism and will be witnessed by Tourism Minister, YB Dato’ Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen.

BAU BADAN!

Bila ada sesuatu perkara yang tidak menyenangkan, perkara itu boleh menjadi topik yang paling seronok untuk dibincangkan. Itulah yang terjadi pada petang tadi bila CuteCarry dan beberapa rakan berbicara mengenai bau badan.. ataupun bau-bau badan.

Ini adalah cara saya menutup hidung bila ada bau badan or body odour (BO)!..

Cuba baca dua kisah benar ini. Memang kena mengena dengan yang hidup.. sihat walafiat lagi kedua-dua pelakon utama dalam kisah benar ini!

Kes Pertama:

Beliau adalah seorang berpangkat besar. Gaji pun boleh tahan (boleh lah kalau nak beli MArc Jacobs STAM sebulan sekali!) dan seorang yang amat baik. Beliau sentiasa tersenyum dengan orang, mudah untuk dibawa berbincang dan seorang yang tidak ada masalah dengan sesiapa. Tetapi ada satu masalah yang kita semua menghadapi iaitu BAU BADAN YANG MEMANG MEMENINGKAN. Ini bukan bau badan yang manja-manja tapi bau badan yang boleh ‘ditinggalkan’. Kita boleh tahu dia berjalan di tempat itu melalui bau badannya. Ada seorang kawan yang hampir hendak muntah sebab bau badannya.

Gaji besar, hati baik tapi disebabkan BAU BADAN yang power, orang sekeliling akan teringat akan bau badannya. Habis kisah dia yang baik hati tu.. macam “ohhhhhh… Mr X yang kuat BO!”

Kes Kedua:

Seorang wanita yang boleh tahan cantiknya, badan kurus, pakai tudung tapi

Chanel means luxury, expensive, high class and did I hear someone said .. it’s for aunties?

Sorry Karl, me and some of my fashionista friends think that Chanel pieces are so extravagant and top of the class but it’s too OLD for us .

(Jarang dengar/ tengok kawan-kawan pakai Chanel atau cakap nak beli baju Chanel kat Malaysia ni, kecuali that classic Chanel bag… )

But,please include our living condition the monetary factor as well why we never buy Chanel and WHY I never see Chanel at factory outlet or warehouse sale! (kadang-kadang tengok bergaya, tapi tetap jimat bila nak beli benda lain kannnnnnnnn!!)

Marc Jacobs Loves Ruffles…

This season, He loves ruffles… so much . It is all about ruffles and dramatic effects at Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 RTW. From head to toe.

The models hit the runaway in extreme pale kabuki make-up. According to Marc, he wanted the models to look as if they had just finished a show and went out still wearing a bit of their costumes. Erm… Marc, I love ur creations, but if the skinny models in pale face walk to me in the middle of the nite, I run..

But nevertheless, he did it again. Everyone waiting and anticipating what is next from him and he never failed to deliver what women really want; to look fashionable no matter what!

The bags quite delicious too! It is still big bags. So, if you think your oversized bags that can carry your 9 months niece should go into e-Bay, think again. You might want to use it next year.Oh.. and they are ruffles and fringes too!

Can’t wait for this collection to hit Malaysia.I just Can’t wait. It doesn’t matter if I buy it or not, but I just can’t wait. I want to touch the ruffles when my friends toting it!

So much love. I going to sing I FEEL Love, Donna Summer version, not the Blue Man group version. No thanks.

Yellow is the choice for Catriona Ross and her handsome hubby, ASTRO producer and director, Shaharuddin Mokhtaruddin. Clad in the most glamorous traditional costume in the entire world, Cik Siti Wan Kembang, Catriona looks like she is ready to grab Best National costume in Miss Universe competition!

Their second costume is rich and demure Minangkabau. She received Emporio Armani watch, SK11 set, Cole Haan shoes, Tiffany bracelet and Marc Jacobs sunglasses as part of the hantaran. What? Marc Jacobs for getting married? Somebody, please marry me!
